Beach Rd Retreat

Once left incomplete and abandoned on site, this project began as a process of rediscovery rather than replacement. By retaining and reworking the existing structure, the design transforms a stalled construction into a quiet retreat tailored for a retired couple and their slower pace of living.
The architecture balances strong gabled forms with soft natural textures, creating a composition that feels both grounded and open to the surrounding landscape. Elevated living spaces, expansive glazing, and layered outdoor connections frame light, views, and moments of stillness – turning the once – forgotten structure into a warm and enduring home.
