Micheal Richard House

The project is conceived as a dialogue between weight and openness, presenting a bold and sculpted face to the street before unfolding into a softer and more expansive living environment behind. The street façade is defined by strong white frames wrapping around recessed dark volumes, creating a layered composition of shadow, depth, and contrast.

Beyond this solid outer layer, the architecture gradually opens into terraces, decks, and transparent living spaces that dissolve toward light, landscape, and outdoor living. The contrast between compression and release, shadow and transparency, creates a layered spatial experience where the house continuously shifts between protection and openness.
